Is it normal to NOT get GND pins info from Vendor but only VCC pins for
carrying out AC PDN simulation to see loop inductance is within the spec ?
Depending on which GND pin on the BGA you end up choosing the loop
inductance would be either good or bad. (I mean to say proper VCC/GND need
to be chosen, info of which is provided by the IC vendor)
But If a vendor suggests using all GND pins on the BGA for simulating PDN
for a power rail whose VCC pins are at a corner of the IC it is equivalent
to claiming that Vendor has a perfect GND plane in the package/Die , which
is unlikely.
Is the ask for correct GND pins (just like VCC pins that the vendor has
already provided) reasonable ?
(When I say VCC pins I means VCC_group1 pins and VCC_group2 pins both
powered from same source)
Thanks
Praveen
